Part 3 of the DnD retelling. When they got into town multiple people noticed the fire. They rushed towards it to put it out. A man named Carlos and 2 others went inside after to examine the bodies. They began to try and keep it under wraps and Harry and Nines attempts to spread fear of the goblins were stifled. When the crowd dispersed, Harry went and harvested the childs brain for spells. The next day they set up the ambush about 2 hours into the goblin forest. Brick and Monty are unaware of the true plan to get the goblins on their side. Nine and Harry scout ahead to cut a deal with the goblins. They capture a goblin named Glerg and send him in as a diplomat to get an audience with his leader. A ferocious bug bear named Jubbles comes out of the cave. He attempts to kill Harry and Nine but they subdue him and convince him of their intentions. They run loose towards the town, ignoring the 7 men left for ambush. Brick breaks off after them on horseback and Harry and Nine follow. The 7 militia men are left in the woods. When the reach the town it is in flames. The goblins are ransacking it and people are fleeing with whatever they can scavenge. Harry and Nine suddenly realize that theres a better option. They slay Jubbles and cut off his head. They give it to Glerg as a trophy and tell him to spread word of how Glerg killed Jubbles. This sets up the party as the heroes of Nacksbrook and gives Harry and Nine a pawn in the orc ranks. -Wandering Crow
