Part #4 Visiting Vietnam courtesy of Uncle Sam! All expenses paid! Just so we could party! How nice! To keep our sanity, we were almost always under the influence! I got many speeding tickets, yes speeding tickets in the Nam busted by choppers in the sky radioing to a road block ahead. Go F Fin Figure!! I had my stripes removed more times than I can remember, my moma-san wish she had velcro! The more they tried to keep us in line, the more we thought of other ways to have fun. After all what were they going to to Send Us To The Nam?? Wasnt my war, just trying to have some fun & stay alive. The problem was you had to go off limits to have the kind of fun we were looking for. Going island hopping about every other week was one way, it started out with only 3 crazy couples, and when it was about over we had up to 3 boat loads exploring the island. Enough ammunition & fire power to start a war if we had to. Clam Bakes were way too much fun to worry about dying! Hell we used percussion grenades to fish, the girls would gather them up when they floated to the surface, and they were some awesome cooks. I even had a warrant officer that flew us to the island with his chopper, and his crew knew how to party too. We just plain didnt give a rats ass. We did it our way!! Besides most of us were drafted, and remember we were all packing! Dont screw with us was the word that got around, and nobody did. youtu.be/cdE86N7_LMU
