Part 7: We are repeating the error of Israel. (1 Samuel 8: 1-22) When their leaders (not sovereigns) went astray and became corrupt (turned aside after lucre (money), and took bribes, and perverted justice....) the people did not seek to correct the problem at the source i.e., deal with the corrupt judges but rather to change the government structure God had given them and place a king (sovereign) over themselves. God said the people had reject Him. God warned the people of their error and yet they insisted, in spite of being told how a king would govern over them, to have a king: This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: he will take your sons, and appoint them unto him, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and they shall run before his chariots; 12 and he will appoint them unto him for captains of thousands, and captains of fifties; and he will set some to plow his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and the instruments of his chariots. 13 And he will take your daughters to be perfumers, and to be cooks, and to be bakers. 14 And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants. 15 And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants. 16 And he will take your men-servants, and your maid-servants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work. 17 He will take the tenth of your flocks: and ye shall be his servants. 18 And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king whom ye shall have chosen you; and Jehovah will not answer you in that day. Does any of this ring a bell!? The Article V promoters say our federal officials are corrupt therefore we need to change the structure of our government. Mike Farris himself says Sometimes you do not need a change of personnel, you need a structural change. (See video patriotcoalition/VIDEO/Farris-Structure.wmv .) The Republic, by the hand of providence, was established with We the People as the sovereign under God. We have abdicated our sovereign status to political elites and in reality the Article V promoters want us to legitimize or formalize that change. We merely need to trust the same corrupt politicians and process to renew our Liberty that stole it in the first place. How very, very absurd. If your group has not had someone with in-depth experience on this issue to tell you about the other side of the Article V you should be very, very suspicious about your leaders motives. The Olathe GOP group gave the Convention of States State Director 45 minutes to give the pro- side and then the following month Kobach another 30-45 minutes. But, in spite of multiple request to allow me to give the other side, the side that has prevailed since 1973, David Lighter could not find time. The person who tells one side of a story seems right, until someone else comes and asks questions.
