Part IV : A report and some thoughts about music feast at ISKCON. Thanks a ton Sri Tiru Dasa-ji. Vid. Lavanya Krishnamurthy, disciple of highly respectable Vid. Sathyavathi Tss Madam and proud daughter of Smt. Suma Krishnamurthy & Vid. Krishnamurthy Violin took off from where her much-loved sis Anjali Sriram had left. Lavanya ably accompanied by our pride Aditya Mp, Sri Vishnuvardhana (Mridangam) and Sri Phaneendra (Ghatam) (both percussionists are disciple of Vid. T S Chandrashekhar ) took the event to a greater musical heights with her with her Bhakti- Bhava- Vidwatpoorna kacheri. Kunidaado Krishna, Ivanare Mohana, Nambi Kettavarillavo (preceded by an excellent alapane and brilliant violin support by Aditya), Pahi Pahi Jaganmohananey Krishna, Paalisenna Gopalakrishna, Harinarayana, Bhajare Re Manasa, Kamalanayana Vasudeva Kayo, Narayana Tey Namo Namo were all rendered to cast a spell on many rasikas who listened to it with rapt attention. (Our Vinod Shyam Anoor pitched in to give some small special effects :) ) I am making a special mention of Krishnana Kolalina Kare. Lavi mesmerises me whenever she sings it. I am reminded of her concert at Indian Institute of World Culture and more importantly, at her very breeeeefest performance at my Sabha, where tears rolled down my eyes ( she still does not believe me when I say this :( ) when I had to ask her to end the performance because of time constraint. Proud of you Lavi.. Keep calling me to your concerts...
