Part Time Book Sorter/ Categorizer and Miscellaneous Warehouse Duties (Warehouse- William St.) compensation: Part Time Book Sorter/ Categorizer and misc. W.H.-Hours of operation From 7 A.M -4:30 P.M -Part Time, 25 hours week, $8.75 per hour part-time non-profit organization Need Someone who can start soon- Interviews for most likely candidates will be scheduled this week- ( week of January 12th) Part Time, 25 hours a week, $8.75 per hour Ideal candidate will be able to work 5 -(5 ) hour shifts per week, weekends are possible. Daytime hours anywhere between 7 a.m. -4:30 PM. Should be: mature, reliable, conscientious and able to work independently with little to no supervision, a fast learner would be great, capable of multi- tasking. This job is physically demanding,HEAVY LIFTING. as well as requiring attention to detail, necessity to remember different things. Seeking computer savvy,( some book scanning duties while on site) focused, literate( book knowledge is a big +) familiarity with different book genres, as categorizing books in this manner is part of the job)self starter with strong comprehension skills, attention to detail- able to differentiate items based on conditions, genres, etc. Makes good use of time, willingly meets and exceeds quotas created by management, able to effectively train any potential helpers in same area. Must be willing and able to work with an ever changing workforce ( when applicable) and be willing to train and explain duties relative to assistance required at any given time. Communication is essential to create a solid workflow, and necessary to maintain any procedures that are already or will be put in place. This position IS physically demanding.HEAVY LIFTING. and requires ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, lots of bending, lifting, should be able to lift /move at least 5o pounds and up to 100 pounds when necessary (with assistance)- We are located in a warehouse environment -so there is exposure to dust and dirt on a daily basis. Rubber soled shoes- sneakers- jeans and t shirt environment.
