We are currently focused on adding a PART TIME / WEEKEND Dispatcher & Customer Service Representative to our team. This position will provide weekend coverage for and dispatch our own fleet of trucks, perform track and trace on both loads on our trucks and on outside carriers, perform both re-actively and proactively during weekend hours. This candidate must have the ability to be successful in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities. Main Responsibilities: Acquire progress updates from Carriers Eliminate delays in loading or unloading thru clear communication and expectations Trace and Track all loads Update Account Managers on truck progress Monitor on time deliveries Anticipate and escalate problems Ability to work independently from home or in office without direct supervision Any other job responsibilities identified by management Requirements The ideal candidate will demonstrate and possess the following skills: Driven, enthusiastic and motivated Extremely organized and detail oriented Exceptional customer service skills Strong communication (both verbal and written), problem solving, & decision making skills Must have the ability to excel in a team-based environment Must have a knack for time management and able to work in a fast paced environment Ability to multi-task in a windows based environment; MS Office and internet Knowledge/Experience in transportation environment (i.e.: shipping, receiving, inventory, distribution, or dispatch a plus but not required.
