Part Two of my Skype session with the students from the Ha - TopicsExpress

Part Two of my Skype session with the students from the Ha Initiative - Creative STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) After School Program (Honolulu). This was my second video-conferencing session with the students as they prepare for their Worldwide First LEGO League Robotics competition. The students, from grades 5 through 7 are finalizing their robotics project, as they built their competition table that provides six various missions for their robots they programmed, made out of LEGO blocks and pieces with computerized motors. The robots must be capable of doing a number of functions from opening and closing doors, tossing balls into a basket, climbing, catching, grabbing and a host of other functions. Fascinating stuff. If you go to YouTube and search for First LEGO League, you can see many of the projects that 265,000 young people from the US and 79 other countries throughout the world, get together as teams to build their LEGO robotics projects. Heres a few pictures I took during my Skype session with the Ha Initiative STEM class from Honolulu. These kids are super-impressive! They are truly our future leaders of tomorrow! hcapweb.org/ha-initiative/
