Part of WRR’s mission is to provide sanctuary to animals who cannot be released back into the wild. A little over 600 animals call WRR home, including two new, young long tailed macaques who arrived in late April. They were retired from a research laboratory where they spent their lives being housed indoors in small metal cages. The two male macaques are housed in temporary quarters here at WRR and will soon be introduced, along with five other monkeys, into a 1 ½ acre enclosure. Now that they live in a more humane and interesting setting, they are very curious and always quick to show an interest in the other animals here at WRR. They also find it entertaining to watch the caretakers as they go about their duties caring for the other animals call WRR home. WRR is a non-profit organization. You can help support WRR, its mission and the animals who come to WRR for rehabilitation or who call WRR home, by clicking on the link below to make a tax-deductible contribution today. https://gifttool/donations/Donate?ID=1605&AID=1158
