Part of my job takes me into Dallas from Allen from time to time with the ultimate realization that with the journey, there is the painfully slow drive down Central Expressway. It gives me a lot of time to think about work, errands and other events that we all call life. This latest trip found me thinking about people Ive not seem in a while. When I arrived at my destination, I got out of my car and walked to the office building for my meeting. Once inside the building, I waited patiently for the elevator and when the doors opened, I immediately recognized a dear old friend from years ago. That person immediately recognized me as well. There was a tremendous sense of excitement as we exchanged pleasantries with a warm embrace. We immediately reconnected after losing touch through the years. We have plans to get our families together for future gatherings. It was truly a blessing that God crossed our paths again. It seemed like we hadnt lost a minute To that end, I got me thinking about how God has people cross our path for a reason. People are part of our life in so many ways to share in the good times and to offer support and a shoulder to lean on even in difficult times. To that end, when you close your eyes tonight, think of the people you can reconnect with. Are there relatives, friends or college classmates that would delight in hearing from you.? Think of those who love and miss you. Tonight, be still. Think of those you can reach out to so you can share your life and the beauty of Gods love for us all. Pray. Good Night and God Bless.
