Part of the dishes chore in our house is to refill the sensor dish soap dispenser. Instead of buying the lysol refills that go with it, I burned a hole at the top in order to refill it with the soap of my choosing. Cost, effectiveness and efficiency are factors as to why I do this. Phoebe hard a hard time with this task. The hole was small and the soap kept spilling over making a mess. I let her struggle with it for a while. Yelling, pounding, whining the whole time. Finally, when I was done doing what I was doing, I sat down and told her I would take over and that she could leave if she wanted. She stayed and watched as I seemingly effortlessly filled the container. And she finally asked, how can you do that? I told her simply, I love being a mom. I explained that I had many moments of frustrations just like she displayed. That my desire to save money for more fun things causes me to be creative and cheap in ways much like this. I looked at my pleased girl and told her again, I really love being a mom.
