Part of the reason I love to play guitar and sing is because my Grand Parents, Parents, Aunts and Uncles and Brother all performed music. Now my children have sparked interest and I am so proud that the heritage is going to continue for another generation. When I was in school, it seemed like everyone was learning an instrument or singing and wanting to start a band. It just seems like their isnt much of that these days. It worries me. I sure and hope that it comes back around. One of the places my Parents performed is the VFW Post 1466 on Spellman Rd in Beekmantown. I remember going with them every time. Watching them sing and play and the response they would get. All the wonderful friends and family that would follow them and appreciate them for all the hard work they would put in to it, is very humbling. I am so proud and fortunate to be part of all that now. Now my band, Movin On nearly twenty-some years later, is performing at that very same spot! March 14th, 4-7 $8 Fish Fry with Movin On to follow 7-11. Id love to see everyone there! Have a great day guys!
