Part of the reason that Ive always been drawn to the west is the natural beauty of course...but its really so much more. I smile when I look around and see active people of all ages out hiking, biking and running...I mostly love how much more aware folks here are about the environment. Recycling happens everywhere, plastic bags and bottles are nowhere to be found, real food is served and sold...there just seems to be a higher awareness among most people about our health and earth and the importance of not treating your body or the planet like a garbage can. Although there are some great pioneers in our area I dont know if the south will ever catch up. Ill get off my soapbox now :)
