Part-time Finance Manager (Sacramento) 520 9th Street at F compensation: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour/$29,000 - $33,000 per year (24 hours per week) part-time non-profit organization The California Black Health Network Part-time Finance Manager performs the following duties and tasks within a 24 hour work week. All duties and tasks may not be performed every day nor every week: Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. In collaboration with the CEO, analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice. Report to management regarding the finances of the organization. Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology. Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping. Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems. Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Appraise, evaluate, and inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the propertys description, value, and location. Maintain and examine the records of government agencies. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills • Five years of experience as an accounting manager • Experience with managing government grants - required! • Supervisory and training experience preferred • Ability to oversee A/R, A/P, P/R, G/L, job costs, banking, vendor relationships, and financial statements • Experience with preparing for and overseeing the auditing process • Excellent knowledge of GAAP and GAAS • Excellent oral and written communications skills • A minimum of five years of experience drafting financial reports • Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data for decision making purposes • Above average computer skills including SAP, Master Builder, QuickBooks, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and others. This position requires one to work well in a multicultural market with diverse constituencies. The individual in this position will be a self-motivated person who works well under pressure and is able to handle several projects at one time.
