Do you hold an Australian driver’s license (including a Learner or Probationary license)? If so, you are invited to participate in a research project that aims to investigate safety culture on Australian roads. The aim of this project is to measure ‘safety culture’ on Australian Roads and to investigate the differences between genders age groups, and different states/territories. Participation in this research will involve completing an anonymous online survey (link at the bottom of this page). Your answers will be stored for a period of five years in a secure location. All records will remain confidential and anonymity will be ensured. Participation in this study is voluntary and you are free to withdraw at any stage. The data from this study will be written up as a journal article as part of a Master’s Thesis. The researcher will take every care to remove responses from any identifying material as early as possible. Likewise individuals responses will be kept confidential by the researcher and not be identified in the reporting of the research. However the researcher cannot guarantee the confidentiality or anonymity of material transferred by email or the internet. This project has been approved by the University of South Australias Human Research Ethics Committee.
