Participate in the DA Global Auction – Support DA and connect with fellow Democrats I know you have recieved previous requests to contirbute to the DA Global Auction this year, and we have already received several great contributions from DA-Hungary members, but you may not have realized how your personal contribution can benefit all of Democrats Abroad and establish personal connections with fellow Democrats around the globe. Last year, I carried a piece of ceramic art donated by one of our DA-HU members to our DA Global Convention in Mexico, handed the piece off to a member from Canada, who then took it back to deliver to the purchaser, creating connections accross 3 continents, and supporting DA through our Global Fundraising Auction. Now, not all auction deliveries will be so complex, but we need you to make a contribution of a good or service that someone else will value and that will support Democrats Abroad in preparing the tools and resources that will help us turn out the vote for the Congressional elections in 2014. Consider some of the donations that have already been offered, and be creative in thinking about what you might be able to contribute that would be of interest to another member of Democrats Abroad, in Hungary, or Around the World: * 2 or 3 nights stay in your house, apartment, spare room, or on your couch * a tour of the town * a night out at the theater, opera, or at your favorite restaurant * language lessons or series of life-improvement coaching sessions on-line * technical or professional expertise * a piece of art * a gift certificate * a home-cooked meal * anything else that you can think of that might be unique and appreciated by another Democrat, here in Hungary, passing through Budapest, or around the world.
