Participated and presented in a meeting held in the Karntaka State (India) Assembly (Vidhan Soudha) on Jul 18, 2014. Honorable Minister of Agriculture, Mr Krishna Byra Gowda chaired the meeting. Additional Chief Secretary -cum- Development Commissioner (Mr GV KrishnaRau), Principal Secretary-Agriculture (Mr BL Meena), Directors of Research from several State Agril Uni of Karnataka as well as Director of some institutes were presented in the meeting. We discussed the importance and work plan of genomics and molecular breeding for improving crop productivity of some leading SAT crops like finger millet, sorghum and pigeonpea.
