Partie creve coeur pour les Elans / A heart breaker of a game for the Elans Le match tant attendu par les fans des Elans, contre les As de Rouyn Noranda. Et quel match ce fut. Le retour de Christian Roberts devant les filets ces faits ressentir dans les gradins et tous avait tres hate d evaluer ca performance. Et le premier lancer des AS et l enivitable, un but. Mais Roberts ces vites repatrier et nous as donner une tres bonne perfomance, donnant l`opportunite a son equipe de gagner cette partie. Les Elans on dominer pour la premiere periode, sur le long des rampes, sur le jeu de passe et sur l agressiviter du match. Un peu se qui explique les penalite des Elans tous au premier vingt. Apres la toute fin de la periode Jonathan Lacroix (8) a egaliser la marque avec seulement 29 seconde a faire, avec un tres beau jeu et une passe de D. Fortin. Le 2ieme vingt etait encore avantage au Elans, il ont prit l avance a la marque de 9 min. 17 sec. sur un jeu de puissance, Raphael Lacroix (12) avec l aide de C. Lacroix. 2-1. Les As on ecopper de 4 penalite en 2ieme mais les Elans n ont peu capitaliser sur ces jeux de puissance. Le fait que les ELANS dominait le jeu n etait pas au plaisir de l entraineur adverse. Avec un peu moin de 4 min. a faire les As on egalé la marque 2-2. Ces resté 2-2 jusqu a la toute fin du 3ieme vingt. Les tirs au but.. 32 vs 22 en faveur des Elans ce qui demontre que les As ne dominait pas du tout. En prolongation les As n ont pas hesiter et on surpris un peut les Elans avec une pousser immediate dans la zone des Elans et Fleury a trouver les cordons avec seulement 25 sec. d ecouler a la prolongation. Une défaite creve coeur un peu, mais on doit ce rejouir d avoir donner une tres bonne performance devant leur partisans. The Elans took over the game in the 1st and came on strong, it only came with 29 sec left in the 1st period when Jonathan Lacroix (8) scored from a pass of D. Fortin. The Elans were on top in every aspect of the game, passing, winning battles along the board, hitting in centre ice, stopping the Aces at the blue line. The Elans were off to a great game. In the second period, the momentum stayed with the Elans and all the Aces could do was trying to catch up with our players, maybe that explain why Rouyn had 4 penalties in the 2nd period. Raphael Lacroix (12) scored his 12th of the season on a power play midway in the second, giving the lead 2-1 to the Elans. But with less then 4 min. left the Aces tied up the game with a very nice goal. 2-2 it was and heading in the 3rd period. The 3rd period didn`t solve anything, and it offered some great end to end plays. very aggressive and fast hockey, to the delight of the almost 300 fans that were there. 32 shots in favor of the Elans vs 22 for the Aces, it showed how the Elans had taken control of the game. Overtime was needed and Losier`s crew kind of got caught of guard right at the beginning of the OT period as the Ace`s Fleury scored immediatly on the openning face off on a great shot, with only 25 sec. in the overtime period, what a heart breaker for the Elans who work hard all thru the game. They can keep their heads high, if Saturday`s game was a indication of Sundays... we are in for a treat... See you all on Sunday 1:00 pm for take 2...
