Partly cloudy with above normal temperatures today and tomorrow, then a big cool down with storms overnight Thursday. Today will be partly cloudy and hot with a high of 90 and winds from the South at 5-10 mph. Tonights low will be 67. Thursday begins partly cloudy but clouds will increase during the day as will chances for mainly afternoon thundershowers. Thursdays high will be 88 with a 40% chance of scattered afternoon and early evening thunderstorms. A cold front will be moving across Arkansas with a line of thunderstorms moving across Desoto just after mid-night. Chances for thunderstorms will be at 80% from about mid-night to 4 am. Some storms could be strong during this time period although it appears that the line of storms should be in a weakening mode during the early morning hours. Thursday nights low will be 65. The cold front moves across the MS River around sun-rise on Friday morning bringing an end to the showers and thunderstorms. Early morning chances are around 20% and decreasing throughout the morning. Skies will be cloudy during the morning with some clearing during Friday afternoon. Fridays high will be 76 with an overnight low of 50. Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high of 70 and low of 47. Mostly sunny on Sunday with a high of 75 and low of 54. Monday will be partly cloudy with a high of 79, low of 57 with a 20% chance of showers. Mostly sunny on Tuesday with a high of 80 and low of 62. Yesterdays high in Olive Branch was 90 and this mornings low has been 64. The record high for this date was 95 in 1953 and the record low was 40 in 1949. The average high and low is 80 and 59.
