Passing this along for any other tball, baseball, or soccer parents/grandparents in the area... Dear Parents, We had an incident reported at Stumpy Creek Monday, March 31st during our evening games. A tall white slender male with light brown hair was seen loitering around children at the swing set area. Later a different parent saw the man in a dugout on a field where no games were being played, but children were there playing around that field. When the parent approached and tried speak to the man, the man ran away to his car and then quickly left the area. With the parking lot not being lit it was hard to get an accurate description. But we are told it was a small car. The board of Lake Norman Sports has contacted the sheriffs office about this incident. We expect there to be increased patrols of our area as games are being played. We take this incident very serious and hope you all are as alarmed as we are. We respectfully ask you to keep a watchful eye on your children. Please do not let them leave your sight and play with other children without a responsible parent present. Our children are dependent upon us parents to protect them. Please do your part. As we on the Lake Norman Sports Executive Board see kids playing alone, we will ask them to go to their parents. This action is no punishment to anyone as our kids have done nothing wrong. But 5 or 10 minutes without proper supervision could ruin their lives and yours forever. We humbly ask that all of you help us in protecting your children by supervising them. If you or your children see anything suspicious, please let your coach know or go to the concession stand and have a SISA rep contacted. Thank you, Ron Duck Wyatt LKN Sports President
