We apolegize to the rest of the Enlightened world. However, one country we need not apolegize to is Communist China. Yes, it seems when Kentucky lost an election, the Chi-coms gained a valuble Shadow Senator who just sits in Kentuckys seat and represents all the wonderful things that Communism in China stands for. RDemocrat :: Mitch McConnell: Shadow Senator for Communist China Mitch McConnell, Hillbillyreport.org I mean, who needs to represent Kentucky when you can be sure that China will be forcing 8 year old kids to work for little or no money?? It is not like Kentucky has lost any manufacturing jobs lateley: McConnell Voted For Most Favored Nation Status For China. According to the Washington Post, the McConnell voted to normalize trade relations with China, a vote that sets the stage for Chinas accession to the World Trade Organization, possibly before the end of the year, as those advocating increased engagement with the communist giant overwhelmed critics who argued that the trade deal is an abandonment of democratic principles in the name of corporate profits. According to the Posts story, the trade deficit with China the year before the deal was $68 billion . It grew to $256.3 billion by 2007, according to the Economic Policy Institute. According to a study by the Economic Policy Institute, the growth of U.S. trade with China since China entered the World Trade Organization in 2001 has had a devastating effect on U.S. workers and the domestic economy. The study shows that between 2001 and 2006, Kentucky lost 28,100 jobs. Between 2006 and 2007, the state lost another 5,300 jobs. These losses amounted to 1.85% of the states total employment base. Yes, McConnell has long numbered himself an Enthusiastic Supporter of the Chinese communists and the liberties afforded their citizens: McConnell is an Enthusiastic Supporter Of China Trade. In a 2000 interview, McConnell said, Im an enthusiastic supporter of permanent normal trade relations with China. [CNN, 5/28/00] Of course, according to McConnell and his wife Elaine Chao these jobs werent even hemmoraging from Kentucky: McConnell Argued Outsourcing Was Miniscule. In March 2004, McConnell argued that outsourced jobs were miniscule compared to the number of Kentucky jobs brought by foreign companies. McConnell said, I cant give you the exact figure of what may have been outsourced overseas, but everybody Ive talked to thinks that it is a minuscule percentage compared to whats been insourced into the United States. [FDCH Political Transcripts, 3/9/04] McConnell and His Wife Both Downplay Effects of Outsourcing. In 2006, Chao said that the impact of outsourcing jobs to foreign countries was small considering how many workers are in America. In 2004, McConnell also argued on the Senate floor that more jobs were being insourced than outsourced. [Courier-Journal, 10/20/06; Los Angeles Times, 5/2/04] Of course as always with McConnell, the truth is much different than his created reality: Kentucky Has Lost Nearly 70,000 Manufacturing Jobs Since 2001. [Bureau of Labor Statistics Regional and State Employment and Unemployment (Monthly) News Release, 01/01; Regional and State Employment and Unemployment (Monthly) News Release, 01/08> This campaign video from last year sums up Mitch McConnell in a nutshell: When Mitch McConnell won re-election many people won. However, the people of Kentucky werent among them. The people of China, including children who will slave under an oppressive government for Communist leaders and ideals werent among them either. Neither are poverty-stricken and desperate people all over the world who will slave for men like Mitch McConnell to pacify their never-ending greed. The only folks that benefitted from Mitch McConnell were communist Chinese leaders and the most greedy and least patriotic among us who would rather work Chinese children like slaves all to profit godless Communist leaders and immoral and greedy profiteers all over the world. All I will ever ask McConnell is how much profit is enough, and how many lives need be destroyed at the whim of it?? Six years cant come soon enough all over the world for millions of people.
