RCCG LETs GO A FISHING Date: 24th December; 2014 THEME: THE EVERLASTING FATHER Speaker: Pastor E.A Adeboye Bible Text: Isa 9:6 GLIMPSE FROM THE TEXT Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. NOTE The one that is called the everlasting father has many other powerful names........ 1. He is also called WONDERFUL..... just because he perform wonders 2. Another name he bears is called COUNSELLOR ...........just because he gives counselling whenever you are in doubt....... - Counsellor also means adviser. - Bible says Jesus is d Wisdom of God. 3. He is also called MIGHTY GOD simply because with him (God) ...nothing shall be impossible. 4. He is also called the PRINCE OF PEACE simply because the sea and storm obey him. 5. Finally; The bible called him THE EVERLASTING FATHER. WHO IS A FATHER? A father is someone who is with a life and a child. - The life produce child which we see as a product. - The Father is also the provider for d children. - That is why Jesus said when we pray......we should pray by saying......... * our father who art in heaven...... * Give us this day our daily bread. Give us this day our daily bread can mean several things......... 1. It can mean.....give us good health so that we can enjoy our soul and living. 3Jhn 2 2. It also means anything causing us sorrow ...please remove it. He is not just a father now but everlasting father WHO IS AN EVERLASTING FATHER? An everlasting father is a father who never die; who never sleep; who never tired; and who is d same yesterday, today and forever. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITs DERIVES FROM EVERLASTING FATHER? * Any blessing this father gives last forever. * Therefore make him your father today and you will never runs out of provision for life. Matt15:21-28 PRAYER POINT Father....Everything that I needed to function as your child......because you are the everlasting father; please release them to me in the name of Jesus.
