Pastor Mikes Daily Devotion Monday June 16, 2014 Acts 10:34–35, Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. God shows no partiality, but does His church follow suit? We can so evaluate people according to our senses, likes and dislikes, or just some subtle differences. But Gods truth in the matter is; we must be accepting of all. It is certain that we will not LIKE all. Like has to do with what a person looks like, their personality, and their mannerisms. Some people are just going to rub us the wrong way. Just as it is a fact that we will not like everyone, yet it is also a Biblical command that we must love everyone. This is a sacrificial love that overcomes looks, personalities, and mannerisms. In our society well choose up sides over; color of skin, social classes, or economic classes. God loved to such a degree that He gave up Himself for the benefit of others. May we be a church that does the same. Get past yourself, overcome yourself, and give of yourself exemplifying the Love of Christ to someone today, maybe God will use you to save their soul. 1 Timothy 2:3–4, For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
