Pastor Mikes Daily Devotion Tuesday December 16, 2014 Revelation 7:9–10, After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” I had written in an previous devotion that the tribulation, instead of being judgment from God, is really the grace of God. It is the grace of God because instead of the rapture coming, and then the remainder of mankind being judged, the tribulation is actually a squeezing out of those who are to be saved. The majority of born-again believers would say today that it was the goodness of God and the trials of life that led us to repentance. God is going to strive with man for seven more years after the rapture, and in todays verses we see the fruit of the longsuffering of the Lord. The Apostle John is shown that this great multitude consists of those who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. In other words, these people are those who were saved after the rapture and during the tribulation. They are of all nations, or every culture; of all tribes, or every descendant; they are of all peoples, or of every race; and of all tongues, or of every language. The literal translation of the word gospel is good news, and think of how good a news it is to those of that day. What we need to realize in our day is that these people are a result of our ministry today. Remember at the time of the rapture there will be no more Christians on the earth. But Gods word will continue to have its effect. These people represent the result of todays church as it shares the gospel, the missionary as he fulfills his ministry, and every well-worn bible that is left behind. It is exciting to me to know that the seeds that we plant today will germinate and grow even after we are gone. Are you making it a priority in your Christian life to plant seeds? Psalm 67:1–2, God be merciful to us and bless us, And cause His face to shine upon us, Selah That Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations .
