(Proverbs 3:9, 10 NLT) I was talking once with a member about tithing when he made a shocking announcement: He tithed faithfully prior to coming to the Christ Life, sending it to church with his wife! Stunned, I asked him why, for which I got a crazy look and his reply: Because tithing works! Even the lost can see that. When we honor God with our finances, we are showing God that He rules our lives & is responsible for our blessings, not our money or our fallible intellect. God honors our honoring of Him by blessing our income and allowing more into our lives that we can continue sowing it back into His work. As you begin your weekend, set aside those things you can honor God with. Even beyond your tithe, how can you sow a blessing for yourself by surprising someone at work or in line at Starbucks with a gift? It feels good to give! You are loved today!
