Pastor Phil Update: First thank you for all your prayers and know that I missed being with you this past week. It is a blessing to know we have capable people in my absence that will lead with a high level of excellence and care. Thank you to Marcus and everyone else that stepped up to make this last week so powerful. I know announcements are not the best venue for conveying details so to help put your mind at ease here is an update: I went to the ER Saturday night around 5:45 as I had a sudden on set of numbness in my left arm accompanied by dizziness and blurred vision. This was odd and highly disconcerting. Kim and I both thought it would be best to have the good people at Baylor ER rule out some of our more serious concerns. I stayed the night (since, as they reminded me several times... I am of that age) and was poked and prodded, scanned and imaged, X-rayed and ultra sounded. Some good results are in and now we wait for all the docs to look at what they see from the big tests and give us a report. There are multiple follow ups as we have no clear answers yet. (the one thing they did rule out was heart attack as my heart is in great shape) I am at peace and know my God holds me in His care regardless of outcome. Even though I couldnt get much rest in the ER bed I was confined to for my stay, I can rest in my Saviors care. Once again, thank you for your concern and care. Our God is good and He shines brightly through you!
