Pastor Saeed Left Behind Pastor Saeed has been betrayed. The Obama Administration left him behind. On Saturday night, the Administration reached a “deal” with Iran that did not require Iran to release Pastor Saeed. In fact, the Obama Administration didn’t even mention Pastor Saeed in its negotiations. The “deal” doesn’t require Iran to abandon its nuclear program. Iran can still enrich uranium, it still holds Pastor Saeed, and it still threatens our allies, including Israel. The Administration is promising to ease sanctions and provide “humanitarian relief” to Iran. But what about granting Pastor Saeed “humanitarian relief” and releasing him to his family? We cannot ease sanctions until Iran abandons its nuclear ambitions and frees Pastor Saeed. Nothing less is acceptable.
