Now I understand why peter had the guts to preach on the day of Pentecost . He never started his sermon with an apology for how he was judged by the cock or skinned by a young girl. God didnt count it,So peter didnt . Its clearer to me now ,why after shedding His blood ,the New Testament doesnt record any wrong against Noah after he got drunk. No gist about Abrahams lies and unbelief . Nothing written about Jacob deceit. No account records of Davids Barsheba debacle . Solomons years of idol worship is obliterated in records , But why? The Old Testament found faults with men, Men Find forgiveness in the New covenant .They find God. Hebrews 8:7-8 KJV [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. [8] For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: The new states new terms for (of)reference . [13] In that he saith, A new covenant , he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. This annuls the Old. For by faith,all this men only have a good report(Hebrews 11:2) So I can count on the unfailing grace of Gods love in His Son. Some call it license to sin. Well Adam wasnt taught this before he sinned.He sinned without hearing this. God gave man a will.Thats all the license . God doesnt tempt with sin.But mans will means he can sin(James 1:13-14) Others call it cheap grace. They are wrong,for to call it cheap is to put some value in works and effort now matter how cheap. Its free,lavishing ,undeserving ,available grace. Its beyond a message. Its Gods character that ensures no one except His Son is punished for sins 2 Corinthians 5:19 KJV [19] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Romans 5:8 KJV [8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Eternal damnation waits those who refuse this gift . They are called disobedient .Unbelieving. This is the God I have come to know. Away with the image of the scary judgment loving,condemnation delighting personality I had on my mind . I have embraced Him in His Son. The shed blood erases every shadow of Doubt. Without qualifications ,performances now and forever ,I am in fellowship with Him! Seen this?
