Pastors Email for this week: (if you would like to receive these via email please email [email protected]) Life is a wonderful thing with all of it’s ups and downs and challenges, light and dark moments. And every now and then we get to share in a God moment that just blows us away. As a pastor and leader in a church that is on fire, I get to experience this with many of you a lot of the time, which is just beautiful and I cherish every moment. However, this last week I had the honour of speaking on the Turbo Teens Camp at Camp ADANAC in Yarra Junction and God moved powerfully. It really blew me away. On this camp there were around 70 young people, mainly from the Yarra Valley. These young people were from foster homes, broken homes, guardians that were grandparents and some Christian young people. God had plans for each of them on this camp and over the camp we saw 48 of the young people choose Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Some were recommitments but many were first time decisions. Wow! It was spectacular seeing God work the miracles in these young peoples lives that only He could. There is a massive party going on in heaven right now. Would you please join with me in praying for them and their families this week and as God lays them on your heart? The question for this week is: When you hear of or see people who are choosing to give their life to Jesus and follow Him what happens inside of you? Are you apathetic, are you pessimistic because of past experience, or do you clap and cheer for their salvation? Coming up this week is the final installment of ‘This is Your Life’ and we get to hear from a woman who is very close to me. Her story will touch your heart and bless your life. Don’t miss it! Over the next two weeks we have VISION SUNDAY (Feb 1st) and GIVING SUNDAY (Feb 8th). These are going to be exciting mornings as we hear about Liberty’s focus for 2015. This is not a change of the overall vision for Liberty; this is just where the Leadership believes we need to focus on as a church this year. It involves you. I encourage you to pray for that week and to invite some people who don’t normally come to a church to hear where God is leading us. Even last week a number of people responded to God by saying they want to get “fair dinkum about their faith with God”. I pray that God is stirring your soul and inspiring you also.
