Pastors Moment: Kipkurui Yego sent me a challenging view, I can - TopicsExpress

Pastors Moment: Kipkurui Yego sent me a challenging view, I can understand the mission of Jesus to the woman at the well, she went forth calling out people to see Jesus. I can understand the salvation of Zaccheaus, he gave out his wealth to the poor. But I cannot understand the salvation of the thief on the cross. For one, he was a thief who was crucified rightfully. As much as we know he had never acknowledged Jesus in his life. And about to die, he would never get an opportunity to serve Jesus in any way. He had nothing to offer, no money, no service, no talent, not even praise. Even his 9 worded prayer was less than basic. The man was dying. And what would Jesus gain in saving this thief? Absolutely nothing! I believe God is not after anything from us, he is just after you and me. Even when we have nothing of worth, it is us He wants. This means so much to me. This is a typical story of Grace, a dying thief on the cross finds eternal life. That is the story so well Captured by Luke 23:40-43. God Bless You and Keep You
