PatBar Webinar Info Our company, PatBar®, produces a patent bar review course for law school students and others who are taking the patent bar in the future. In order to provide valuable information to students in or soon to attend law school who are interested in the legal field of Intellectual Property and Patents, we are providing a free Webinar on this topic starting on October 4, 2013. The Webinar will also benefit students who may be leaning toward law school in the near future and who want a leg up on their competition. We will also provide another Webinar during the Spring semester and each semester thereafter, touching on these topics and more. Our lecturer will be Mr. David Meeks. Mr. Meeks is a patent attorney and founder of PatBar®. He also produces the patent bar review course that we sell. Webinar Schedule First Semester Webinar: October 4, 2013 at 5:00 PM Eastern Time Second Semester Webinar: February 7, 2014 at 5:00 Pm Eastern Time (The content of each Webinar is different.) A number of pre-recorded reruns will also be available for both Webinars. Registering PatBar® will provide a free Webinar each semester for law school students who are interested in Intellectual Property (IP) law. The Webinars will last approximately 55 minutes and may be accessed by registering for the presentation sometime before the program starts at: patbar/webinar Content Several important topics are: Understanding and Using Time Lines Ramping Up Your Work Ethic Learning New Skills IP Law: Time Management and Time Lines For those interested in IP Law, there are many things that a law school student (or pre-law student) should know about the practice area as early as possible. This will allow you to be prepared for the many hurdles that follow. We are providing a Webinar that explains a game plan and time line for those interested in IP Law. Almost any law school student that expects to represent businesses could fall into this category because IP is such a diverse practice area. Almost every law firm, large or small, that has business clients will have legal work that involves IP Law. It may be patent, or it may be a trademark or a domain name dispute; the possibilities are endless. Our instructor David Meeks is the founder of PatBar® and a patent attorney. Mr. Meeks has been involved with patents from his first job out of engineering school as a development engineer, and also in practice at a small boutique patent firm and a solo practice. He produces the patent bar review course that our company sells today, and is also an astute observer of how law school students may make the best of their law school experience.
