Path of Truth Leads to Peace, Not to Conflict Let us consider - TopicsExpress

Path of Truth Leads to Peace, Not to Conflict Let us consider persons sleeping in the open, under a tree, in a house or palace,…… If they have been relieved of the fatigue and got rejuvenated (which was the purpose of the sleep), they all have attained the ultimate result. In all the worldly activities, we follow the “most convenient” path(s) to achieve the “desired” result. Our concern in such pursuits is the ultimate result and not the nitty-gritty of the “paths” which we follow during the task. Similar should be the situation in respect of spiritual pursuits but that does not usually happen because of concerns of “nitty-gritty” and ego of “travelers” who are yet to reach the “destination”. “I am right (others are wrong). My path is correct (paths of others are wrong). ……” are simply the expressions generated by ego. Most basic condition for “moving” towards “Sat(truth)” is to “shed” the ego. Since each individual’s path is different therefore his/her observations and experiences are bound to vary from others. The differences in perceptions about various aspects of life, interpretations of religious texts and sermons of Gurus, etc. lead to discussions and ego-prompted dominations creating “conflicts”. The mind is similar to an “electronic horse” programmed in such a way that it’s “speed” is proportionate to the distance from the “destination”. Convergence of thought-process, speech and deeds leads to mental peace and “reduction” in the “speed” of the mind. Thus enhancing mental peace is an indication that one is “moving” in the right “direction” towards the “destination”. Supreme Self is fully aware of the “destination” as well as the “path”. One must follow That’s direction. Sometimes, to circumvent an obstacle, traversing on a “curved” path may be required and at that stage mind may appear “moving” at a higher speed. But if one’s steps are guided by Supreme Self, one is moving towards “destination”. One may, at times, find himself/herself in unpredictably very peculiar situations like being “Directed” to “deviate” from pre-designed “paths”, “Not Allowed” to perform some activities, “Forced to Get Out” from religious gatherings, “Not Allowed” to read “dear” texts or talking someone or visiting some place, etc. These all happen to “dismantle” the ego. In this process so called “principles” loosen the “strings”. When one reaches the “destination”, the otherwise “ceaseless” mind “ceases”. One attains mental peace, state of no-desire, detachment of the worldly affairs, …. …
