Patience George..a home based Calabar resident...qualified for the commonwealth Games by placing third in the trials..but Ogba and his group of wise men removed her name and put Regina George who placed fourth. Regina I agree had a good indoor season..but on current form she was not good enough for the individual race in the team..but a man who has never stepped on the track removed the right bperson and put George..the result...she was our worst runner. When do we learn to appreciate our home based athletes? All the athletes performing well were groomed at home. What justification did they have? why organize our trials when you do not respect the results? If you wanted people on past glory they would have put board member Falilat Ogunkoya to run..afterall..she has a better time than Regina George.
