Patience is beautiful. Adornment with patience is from the attributes of the peerless people - those who meet afflictions with forebearance and determination. If we are not patient - You and I, what will we do? Do you have a wayout for us other than patience? Do you know any provision we should have except patience? Allahs Messenger, peace be upon him, said: Wondrous is the case of a believer; there is good in all of his affairs; and that is not for anyone but the believer. If he experiences joy, he gives thanks and that is good for him; and if he experiences adversity, he is patient and that is good for him. Be patient, O wise servant! Perhaps, after your patience you will not be disappointed. And when every event ends. There is after it, relief which is near. You should endure patiently, and your patience is not but from Allah. Be patient, being hopeful of a way out and a good end, seeking the reward, desirous of the atonement of sins. Be patient, no matter how the situation gets difficult and the path gets darkened ahead of you; for help comes with patience, ease comes with distress and with hardship there is relief. I read the biographies of the nobles who had gone past in this world and was startled by their great patience and the strength of their forebearance. Afflictions fell upon their heads like drops of cold water, but they were firm as the mountain and truly steadfast! It was only for a short time, their faces will soon sparkle at the dawn of ease, the joy of triumph and the period of aid. There is no blessing better and more extensive than enduring patience.
