Patricia Kok and I took the day off to do something a little different for us. We headed up north to to Indianapolis to attend the Flower and Patio show at the Indiana Fair Grounds. We werent impressed by the flowers which were, for the most part, obviously from an indoor mass-commercial operation. Neither were we impressed by the countless booths featuring patios made from artificial cement stones and designed for drinking cocktails in an upper class back yard, complete with propane-fired glass pits featuring a quite wasteful open flame that danced on the top of the glass pieces. ON THE OTHER HAND, we did find a few interesting booths and items that Ill post below. We picked up 4 persimmon trees for planting here on Faerie Hill for only $10 from this group: nutgrowers.org/
