A retired operator with UniRoyal Chemical in Geismer, he was a resident of Brusly and a native of White Castle, La. He was a US Army Veteran. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 10am until religious services at 1pm, conducted by Rev. John Robert Simmons. Cremation to follow. He is survived by his wife of 21 years Toni Palermo Burleigh; sisters, Mary Sanchez and husband Bobby, Janet Mury and husband Franny, and Deborah Martin and husband Brad; brothers, Ronald Burleigh and wife Sherry and Kenneth Burleigh and wife Pam; numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving companion Casey.
