Patrick Mills has missed game five of the NBA Finals with an infected toe, with his San Antonio Spurs winning 114-104 to take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series against defending champions Miami Heat early Monday afternoon (Australian time). Patrick, better known as Patty, missed a spot on the bench and his finals campaign could be jeopardy, with the Spurs needing only one more win to take the title. As reported previously in the Torres News, rumours of Patrick moving on from the Spurs continue to gather momentum, with the New York Knicks and the Utah Jazz mentioned as likely homes where he could find a place in the starting line-up. While he rested at home, Spurs assistant coach and former Australian Boomers coach Brett Brown is quoted as saying Patrick might have to look elsewhere to go to the next level. Manu Ginobili had 24 points and 10 assists in a surprise start to spark the Spurs, and Danny Green scored 24 points and Tony Parker had 26 points. LeBron James scored 25 points on 8-for-22 shooting for the Heat and Dwyane Wade had 25 points and 10 assists. Game 6 is on Tuesday night (American time) in Miami.
