Patrick Reed of the PGA Tour leads after the first three rounds of the Humana Challenge with an amazing 27 under par. 27 UNDER PAR!! Now you are probably wondering how he did it. And you are probably thinking he must have hit it perfect all day and straight down the middle. Well you might be surprised to find out that he hit just over 2/3rds of the fairways. But as you can see below the key to scoring 18 under par is to hit it long (over 300 yard average drive), hit it on the green (he only missed 10 greens over 54 holes) and make at least half your putts (he averaged less than 1.5 putts per green in regulation). So there you have it. 27 under… Just like that.
