Patriots and Friends.... I need to get some relief in my mind... I really can use your input on something that is truly bothering me... We have a very very reputable source that is collecting, snacks. hygiene products, etc for our Heroes in Afghanistan!!!! They are asking for Jerkys Beef, Chicken with the exception of Pork.. It states specifically on there NO PORK! I asked a girl that was there for questioning and she stated these were the requests from the Sargent that is the head of this troop and that they would be giving it to the children there so that would be not proper! Asked the head of the establishment and he stated it was reputable but he too admitted that the Pork thing he questioned in his own mind. My point is why not send Pork Jerks to our American Heroes and the next thing is, if the children are hungry who the heck cares what they eat as long as they eat!! Am I really missing something here????? Your opinions would be greatly appreciated!! Just need this cleared up in my own mind... Thanks to all, Bren
