Patrol log Friday July 12 2013. Tonight was a busy night. We started off meeting at around 1100 to do some basic boxing and sparing. This was being led by Evo. He showed us some defense maneuvers and let me tell you most of us are going home with bumbs and bruises. Around 0030 we headed towards Cap Hill area where everything was appeared calm. Around 0100 we moved the team to Pioneer square: Evo on one, Midnight Jack on two Boomer on three, Girl Scout on 4 and me as lead Medic as five. By far, the most significant thing that happened was behind the scenes after livestream was shut off. Evo brought a bunch of sack lunches to hand out downtown. This had no press, no pictures of us handing them out, just a group photo of us before. All cornyness aside, I believe this is how a everyday hero is, doing things not for the fame but simply to help people out in a more personal, human to human way. Yes, its going into my public patrol but more because I want to share how absolutly amazing it is to see a big a** smile on a guys face after you give them food with zero expecations of anything in return. Okay...maybe there is a little bit of cornyness in there. (Is that even how you spell that?) haha.
