Pats Weekly Diary - April 21, 2014 We hope you had a nice Easter weekend. We had just two nights of work this week. Friday night we played at the Edge in the Lauberge Casino & Hotel in Baton Rouge. Just like before… we meet at 5:15 to make the one hour drive there. Set up in about 30 – 40 minutes. Eat the buffet. And now have more than two hours to waste before the 10 o’clock start. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Once we got started it was not as crowded as it usually is when we’re there. It was Good Friday after all and our experience is that Good Friday is a really tough night to get people out partying. But the people that were there certainly looked to be having a good time. Saturday night we played a wedding at the Riverview Room in the Jax Brewery. Here again… the wedding was actually at the Riverview Room so we had to be set up before that. So we met at 5 o’clock. Downtown in less than 30 minutes. Set up in 30-40 minutes and now have about an hour and a half to waste before the 7:30 start time. I just went and sat out on the balcony. Fortunately the weather was gorgeous and I enjoyed the sights and sounds of the New Orleans Riverfront. Beautiful. The wedding was a great affair as well. And as you know the Riverview Room is one of our favorite places. So now we’re off until next weekend. We’ve got weddings on Friday and Saturday but we hope to see you on Sunday at O.L.D.P.
