Paul and Joy: Theres nothing our love cant overcome! Paul and Joy met at work about 7 years ago. At first, she thought he was grouchy and rowdy. So when Paul asked him out on a date, she turned him down. It took a lot of effort and convincing on Paul’s part in order to date her. Eventually his persistence led to friendship, and they soon started dating. She came to find out he was very loving, God-fearing, career-driven and a family-oriented person. Their first date was spent at Enchanted Kingdom on a ferris wheel and falling in love with the romantic Laguna sunset. Since then, they have grown even closer to each other. Paul asked for Joy’s hand in marriage while firefly watching at the beautiful Iwahig River in Palawan. It was so sweet! Joy will always remember how it felt. When Paul left for Canada, it proved to be the most challenging aspect of their relationship. Joy feared she would never see him again. But they endured a long distance relationship for more than 4 years. They have learned that there is no obstacle in life that their love can’t overcome. They celebrated their wedding surrounded by their family and friends at the Sto. Niño de Cebu Church in Southwoods, Biñan Laguna.
