Paul here. I just want to update everyone on what’s been going on with myself and Back To Blue. We have received a number of questions on the subject, and so many of you have been such great supporters over the years I feel you all deserve an answer. Basically, for the foreseeable future, Back To Blue in its current form is no longer booking or playing shows. Whether or not the band will reform and get back to melting faces remains to be seen, although my involvement with it is unlikely. This is not due to any animosity between us – in fact it’s quite the opposite. We are a family, and like families do, we support each other. I have recently had the need to be away from performing, and Eric, Rick, and Carl have been understanding of that. Being a part of Back To Blue has been a great adventure, and a rewarding time which I will always look back on fondly. Since I joined back in late 2008, we have gone from playing in basements to seeing our name in lights in Las Vegas! We also recorded two albums, appeared on local TV (twice), played for celebrities, and opened shows for national touring acts. Weird shows did happen from time to time – we once had a “tag-team” show with professional wrestlers (don’t ask), and another time we nearly brawled with a Dallas Cowboy (yikes!). Weve been a part of more festivals than I care to count, and all the while weve been fortunate to have dedicated support from many of you who have been with us from the start, and from those of you weve met along the way. I want to personally thank you for that. So, as I bow out Ill steal a line from Eric and say, Thanks a lot folks, and Ill see you on up the road.
