Paul is one of the most misunderstood person in history. Christians believe Pail was an anti-law Jew who estabished a Gentile brand of Christianity that was different from his ancient faith of Judaism. We learn otherwise when we study Pauls writings from his Hebraic roots,yes Paul was a master rabbi,he was a Pharisee of Pharisees. The greatest misunderstanding of Pauls writings relates th his views on Law and Grace. For centuries,the church has taught that,inthe TaNaKh(Fiest Testament),the Hebree were saved by Law,but in the Brit Chadashah( New Testament) we are saved by grace and faith. From a Western veiw,the Torah Law was understood as a legalistic system of rules which the Hebrews had to keep in order to be daved. Grace was understood as freedom from the Torah Law. Judaism with its law,and Christianity with its grace,are still to this day placed in opposition to one another. This is a Western view, but it is not Pauls view,nor is it what he intended us to understand from his writings. Paul knew the Torah or what some call the law by heary and the Mishnah,just like Jesus Christ did. Observing Torah is up you,God has given you freewill to choose,if you have to return to observing the Torah,my question is hy did you ever leave? Jesus Christ is the same yesterday,today and forever (Hebrews 13:8),He and His Torah are one John 1:1. Jesus came here and modeled it out for you and I how we are to walk in this life,and He modeled the Torah law perfecty what is our excuse?
