Pax Christi International co-signed a joint civil society statement on the right to peace to be presented at the informal consultations with the Chairman-Rapporteur of the Intergovernmental Working Group on the Right to Peace, on 30 January 2015, in Geneva. Signatories call for a meaningful declaration on the right to peace that recognizes the existence of the human right to peace as an autonomous right, deeply rooted in international human rights law.
