Paying our respects and honoring the history of a Korean War Veteran. He will be buried with honors at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Cemetery on Monday. Anthony Tony Martinez was actually in the very first wave into Korean and Japan Occupation. He was an armorer but also got the CIB combat infantryman badge because he had to fight shoulder to shoulder w infantry with rifle as infantrymen because they were first in. A real hero Quietly forgotten No real benefits for his service through VA and government because many just dont know how. Never knew how and why do I need gov handout but its really payment for the burden you bring babk onto yourself and family from your wounds of war. He lived a strong and successful life as a US Postal Worker and raised his blessed family full of public servant leaders. God bless the Martinez Family during this time of their loss.
