Peabody fans, as you know by now the Peabody Golden Tide will be involved in the TSSAA playoffs again this year by virtue of its exceptional season, because of their hard work and dedication by a lot of fine young men and a great staff to lead them. They have represented our city and our school in excellent fashion by their actions on and off the field. The playoffs are here, the 2nd season, the time to take the game to another level. If you cant get excited about high school football playoffs, Im not sure what it would take for you. These young men and staff have worked extremely hard for the last 18 weeks or so to represent us and get to this stage but its not a season, its a year round commitment even with other extracurricular activities that they are involved in.... It is time for us to step up as parents, fans and supporters to show them how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication. The PHS cheerleaders have put in a lot of hours and hard work also to help grow school spirit and keep the players and the fans pumped up and positive about Peabody Football. Lets do our part now...... The Golden Tide will be hosting Round 1 of the playoffs against a very good Huntingdon Mustang football team. The game will be played at beautiful Walter Kilzer Stadium Friday Night with kickoff set for 7:00 PM. We know Huntingdon will bring a crowd and we know they will be loud. Lets be louder!!! Make your plans now to attend as this could be the final game at home for this edition of The Golden Tide for the year depending on how the playoffs go, win or lose... Dont put off attending thinking that youll go to the next one...... We know it may get cold again, be prepared, dont use that as an excuse not to go, layer and bundle up...... Rain possiblility, get a poncho and umbrella.... There is no competition from Halloween this Friday Night, so dont go looking for any other excuses to not go....... Lets show up and show out to let these young people know how much we care about them, thank them and support them....... ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!
