Peace Day is coming up on September 21! See miuujustice.blogspot/2014/09/international-day-of-peace-festivals.html for a list of festivals around Michigan celebrating peace in solidarity with others around the world. (And please leave a comment or contact us if we missed your local festival!) It is vital that we remember soldiers, warriors, and troops at home and around the world on this day of peace; they are the people who usually have the most to gain from peace and the most at stake in violent conflict. Our wishes for world peace embrace our love for veterans and soldiers, most of whom face struggles with PTSD if not physical trauma. As we celebrate peace, let us all remember to act with kindness toward the troops in our communities and our families and social circles.
