Peace, Officers arent ABOVE the law and order of the land, they are the mediums through which law and order is implemented. Its all part of a system. Now the Police Commissioner directed them NOT to make political statements at a funeral, where ALL should be gathered to HONOR the deceased. Again, before people talk about the NYPD study their history, they have a history of doing this. Some ask what are we protesting....disrespect, death and destruction of Black Lives. WE want respect and we are willing to protest, fight and work until we get it. We are tired of placing #s next to our loved ones, and this must stop. We want disrespectful officers who abuse their position off the force. If the Commissioner gives them a directive and they dont follow it....what happens when they are in the field dealing with people? Peace!
