Peace Thursday, 16 October 2014. Year VII - National Edition THE KEYS OF WISDOM: The Search Is The Proof Of Desire. Mike Murdock Word of the Day: You put our adversaries to flight; by thy name trample those who attack us. I do not trust in my bow, my sword does not give me the victory; but you give us victory over our opponents and humiliate those who hate us. In God we boast all the time, and praise thy name for ever. (Psalm 43.5-8;). 1) - Therefore thou art exceedingly great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard for ourselves. (2 Samuel 7:22). REFLECTION: I am Yahweh, who rescued you from Egypt. Never should have another god besides me! The Lord God Almighty, at the beginning of the Ten Commandments, reminded us of this central, seminal and timeless truth. What more can we say? 2) - As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of the pregnant woman, so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. (Ecclesiastes 11: 5). REFLECTION: I do not know. I do not know! This is one of the most difficult phrases for us to use. But when thinking about God and His ways, is the only thing we can say. What we know about God is just what He, in His grace, has chosen to reveal to us. It is the mystery of mysteries. He is the supreme unknowable unknown. But we know about him, what he revealed to us through Jesus, is that he is loving and merciful. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************ Real Discipleship: When he came to Jerusalem, he tried to gather his disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing it was really a disciple. But Barnabas took him to the apostles and told them how, on the way, Saul had seen the Lord, who had spoken to him , and how in Damascus he had preached boldly in the name of Jesus. (Acts 9: 26-27). After the conversion of Saul there was great doubt on the part of believers, as their real faith in Jesus Christ. After all, Saul was a cruel persecutor of the early Christians. Some even thought he alleged conversion as an attempt to infiltrate churches. Then God spoke to a man named Ananias and instructed him to visit Saul. Ananias probably could not believe his ears: We are talking about the same Saul? Were talking about Saul of Tarsus? But God spoke to Ananias, Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel.ll Show him how much he must suffer for my name. (Acts 9: 15-16). Then God brought another man to the life of Saul (or Paul). His name was Barnabas, and he personally introduced Paul to all the other disciples and confirmed that his conversion was sincere. Currently many of us would like to be like Paul. We would like to transform lives. But the question is: How many of us would like to be like Ananias or Barnabas? You can not be the next Paul. You may not be the greatest of pastors, but can have a big impact on the lives of those who will. This person takes you under his wing can change the world. What did Barnabas is a good example of true discipleship. Its not just teach; but to be a friend. QUOTE OF THE DAY: Feel Now, act later. Tzivia Gover FREE SPACE: BIBLE READING Psalm 127.3-5 TEACH! Teach ... diligently to your children. Talk ... when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up; (Dt 6.7). Always took my two children to school by bike. Could have led them to drive, but the distance was short and the traffic, bad - not to mention that this way we helped nature. I remember like it was yesterday: the first days of class, the eldest wanted to get there early. With each passing day, I noticed that he jumped from the vehicle before the final destination. I realized that he was embarrassed to get to school by bike, since most college buddies came by car - was every big car! With warmth and love, took the opportunity to teach him some values that I considered important (Proverbs 22.6). He learned quickly, lost the shame, and friends ended up sticking to the idea. Today I am known as the father of the bike! Children are like arrows in the hand of the mighty, says v. 4 reading today. To shoot well, the archer must know his bow and arrows you will use. He needs to choose the desired target and aim carefully. To shoot well, it takes a lot of training and preparation. Each child is unique, with different characteristics and temperament, to be observed, evaluated and encouraged. Some need help to read more, others for exercise. Some need encouragement to make friends, others choose to go best with whom. It is the duty of parents to determine the needs of each child, as well as influence the direction in which his children will fly. And so they learn well, parents need to always devote, as the verse says Featured: anytime is time to teach, especially when it comes to love God. Each child should be treated as unique, individually, not comparative. And above all, we need to educate our children in the ways of the Lord. Make your children arrows that hit the target which is Christ. PRAYER OF OUR FATHER: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, Thy kingdom come; let it be thy will be done on earth as in heaven; our daily bread Give us this day; And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors; and let us not fall into temptation; more deliver us from evil; {For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever, Amen}. SPECIAL MESSAGE: Our Silences: There are some things that are too beautiful to be described by words. You must admire them quietly to enjoy them in all their fullness. The great speeches serve often to confuse or indoctrinate. Sometimes silence is more enlightening than a stream of words. Look for a mother on her child in the cradle. He can pretty much everything you want without saying a word. In fact, the words should be packing thoughts. Useless to make long speeches to express the feelings of your heart. One look says more than a rush of words. In fact, the words should be packing thoughts. Useless to make long speeches to express the feelings of your heart. One look says more than a rush of words. I think, in his great wisdom, nature has given us only one language and two ears to listen more and talk less. If the words are not more beautiful than silence, then it is better not to say anything. The more the heart is big and generous words are less useful. We must remember the saying of the philosophers: the true words are not always pretty and beautiful words are not always true. Great minds do with that, in a nutshell, many things are heard. Small minds think they have, on the contrary, the granting to talk and say nothing. Few words are needed to express I like you. So all the others that could be said ... ... are superfluous and are not short, easy words being spoken. Those that cause the greatest consequences are. Only two years are necessary for the human being learns to speak and a lifetime to help him learn to be silent. Be measured with words is proof of profound wisdom. Listening too. PRAISE: RON Kenoly - GOD IS ABLE FULL CONCERT https://youtube/watch?v=4VduWq4OCXU WE PRAY: The Lord, I can only offer my praise. When I consider the vastness of the universe from which our little blue planet spins, I am amazed at the wonderful complexity and His sovereignty. At the same time, Abba Father, thank you for your approach to us. The Lord is better than anything I know, the God who transcends space and time, and also God my Father who is always near. Thank you for being accessible but not penetrable, available but not controllable. I thank you and give you praise the name of Jesus. Amen.
