Peaceful smooth Plane ride from Dallas to DC. However, cab ride home is a different story. First traffic jam less than two miles from airport. Stuck 20 minutes. Second traffic jam less than two miles later. Stuck 15 minutes. Engine light for taxi comes on and starts beeping. I look at dashboard, and cab is nearly out of gas. Driver notices and begins to pull over to get on exit ramp. Before he reaches the ramp, he gets a flat tire. Pulls over on very narrow shoulder with insufficient room between cab and jersey wall to change tire.20 minutes later and with help from VDOT safety truck, we are on the way to a gas station and cabbie is talking about dropping me in Springfield to catch another cab at 1:20 in the morning. Not having it. Im staying in the cab.
